Game Preview:

What an incredible start to 2024 for the Milwaukee Brewers.  Riding a current four game road win streak, including back to back eleven run efforts in the heart of Baltimore.  There aren’t enough positive adjectives I can conjure that would do the success of this team justice, simply outstanding.  The third, and final, game in this series will show how much the Orioles care to not be swept.  I will say that I am quite surprised by how the Brewers have carried their offense through these road games.  Despite Christian Yelich picking up a back injury in the first few innings of the first game of this series, it hasn’t slowed this group down one bit.  Players like Brice Turang and William Contreras are swinging some scorching hot bats and Rhys Hoskins has added some timely home runs.  Willy Adames continues to impress, anchoring down the center of the Brewers infield and improving at the plate, raising his average to .296 after a 3-5 day.  The Orioles have certainly gotten knocked back on their heels a bit and seem to have something to prove at home.  In addition to some must-see offenses, the pitching matchup in this one should hold the score in check more effectively.  The Orioles are rolling out their ace, Corbin Burnes, in an attempt to salvage some self respect in front of the home crowd.  Colin Rea will look to continue his hot start and hope to hold down an impressive young Orioles front.  Rea isn’t known for being a “dominant” starter, but only allowing two earned runs through eleven innings pitched can’t be ignored.  The Orioles will be his most formidable test yet, for this reason I am giving the pitching edge to the birds, which shouldn’t come as much surprise.  As I mentioned, this Orioles offense should be aided by extra motivation to avoid a home sweep.  Despite back to back crunching losses, I am backing the Orioles to extend my win streak to a personal best five! The back to back New York picks prove to be the difference maker, let’s see how far we can go.

As a note, I will post a recap of 4-13-2024’s GOTD tomorrow morning.  We are scorching hot through the first eleven games of this trial.  I expect some great things out of this Brewers and Orioles matchup so hopefully you all get to watch some innings.  If you enjoy the content, please feel free to add your email to the subscriber list for direct updates on new posts!
